We plan our week choosing activities that are going to help us reach our goals. We plan all the must do’s and then add the can do’s.

Abby, you are a diligent, hardworking young lady. You know what your learning goals are and what you need to do to grow as a learner. You are always on task and you strive for excellence. I love the creativity you show and the risks you are starting to take in your learning. Keep taking those risks and be prepared to make some mistakes because that is part of how we learn!

ANZAC biscuits

9th April we made ANZAC biscuits after school...
They were really "YUMMY!"

  • WALT: ask questions as we read to make sure we understand what we read.
    • I learned to: Ask fat and skinny questions
    • Most challenging was ask: Because some times I get mixed up with fat and skinny questions.
    • Next step is to my next step is to use my skinny questions.

Abby, you have been practising asking questions before and after you read to help you to understand your reading. You are practising asking different types of questions like thick and thin questions. I have noticed that asking questions and making predictions about the text have you to helped improve your comprehension (understanding) of what you read.
